Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Vocational colleges across Uzbekistan are being equipped with information and communication technology (ICT) classrooms under a project implemented with the support of UNESCO and funded by the European Union, according to the organization’s office in Uzbekistan.
The equipment is being installed in educational institutions in Samarkand, Nukus, Tashkent, and Namangan, with deliveries continuing to other regions of the country.
As part of the project, 23 interactive smart boards, 375 computers with 375 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units, 10 printers, and 4 Wi-Fi routers are being supplied. UNESCO specialists are currently carrying out installation and technical testing to ensure full operational readiness.
The implementation process is documented through video materials showing key stages, from delivery and unpacking to installation and functionality checks.
The project is part of UNESCO’s “Skills Development for Employment in Rural Areas of Uzbekistan” initiative, funded by the European Union and aimed at improving the quality of vocational education and expanding youth employment opportunities.
