Parubiy said that the Council of National Security and Defence of Ukraine adopted decision to stop its presidency in the CIS and start process of existing the CIS.
On 19 March, Ukraine adopted decision to refuse from the presidency in the CIS. In that time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that the CIS does not implements its functions on settling conflicts between its member states and became a tool for implementation of separate members, including Russia.
Belarus stated later that it is ready to receive presidency of the CIS.
