Two Footballers From Uzbekistan Join Portugal’s Braga

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan youth national team football players Sadriddin Khasanov and Saifiddin Sodikov will continue their careers at the Portuguese club Braga. Both players were part of the national team that won the AFC U-17 Asian Cup in 2025.

According to football club Andijan, the loan agreement with 18-year-old midfielder Saifiddin Sodikov expired on 30 June, after which the footballer left the team.

Sodikov made his debut in the Uzbekistan Super League with Andijan, playing three matches for the club.

The next stage of the midfielder's career will be playing for Portugal's Braga, where another player from the Uzbekistan youth national team, Sadriddin Khasanov, will also continue his career. Khasanov previously played for Tashkent's Bunyodkor.

The Braga U23 football team began preparations for the 2026/27 season on Wednesday.

The first training session took place at the Braga club's sports base under the guidance of the coaching staff led by Tiago Veiga. Both players have been included in the team's roster.
