Turkey to finance training of Uzbek law enforcement bodies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan will render assistance in improving skills of employees of Ministry of Interior Affairs and law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan.

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution "On measures on attracting to Uzbekistan of no-string technical assistance (grants) of donor countries, international and foreign governmental and non-governmental organizations for 2013-2015" on 29 March 2013.

The project “International police educational programme” was included to the list of projects, which will be implemented in Uzbekistan with attraction of grants of donors.

The resolution said that the Government of Turkey will provide US$500,000 to finance the project in Uzbekistan.

Within the project, it is planned to improve skills of employees of Ministry of Interior Affairs and law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan through trainings and seminars in Turkey and Uzbekistan.
