Traffic police in Uzbekistan seize 14 kg of drugs

Police discovered 12.8 kg of raw opium and around a kilo of heroin in the wheel arch of a Lada car during a routine vehicle check, the spokesman said.

"The vehicle contained two passengers, who attracted the attention of the police officers as they were clearly nervous," he said.

A criminal case has been launched, RIA Novosti reported.
