Three women in Uzbekistan sentenced for spying for Tajikistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three women in Uzbekistan were sentenced to long prison terms for spying on behalf of neighboring Tajikistan, Uzbek state television said in a special programme.

TV station said that three residents of Uzun district of Surkhandarya region were sentenced for high treason and espionage for Tajikistan.

The programme said that Kimyo Hudoyarova, Gulnara Amonova and Rano Hursandova provided information to Tajikistan on military bases, objects of security bodies and law enforcement structures for remuneration.

They were also provided information on employees of law enforcement bodies to special services of Tajikistan.

In line with the decision of Surkhandarya regional criminal court, native of Tajikistan Kimyo Hudayarova, who lived in Uzun district as person without citizenship, was sentenced for 15 years of jail.

Gulnora Amonova and Rano Hursandova, in line with the decision of the court, were sentenced to 14 years of prison.
