Three Uzbek citizens killed in Kazakhstan road crash

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Three Uzbek citizens were killed in a road accident in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region on the morning of 22 August after a Nexia-2 car collided with a KamAZ truck, Uzbekistan's Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The accident occurred at 6:47 a.m. on the 1831–1836 km section of the KAZ06 Karabutak–Kyzylorda–Shymkent national highway in Birqazan district of Kyzylorda region.

All three victims were travelling in the Nexia-2 and died at the scene, the ministry said.

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with relevant ministries and agencies, has formed a working group to take the necessary measures to transport the victims' bodies to Uzbekistan and provide assistance to their families.

Officials from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Emergency Situations remain in contact with their Kazakh counterparts. The two sides are jointly establishing the causes and circumstances of the accident.
