Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — About 106 designs for advertising materials were reviewed by the Centre for Digital Transformation and Outsourcing under Uzbekistan’s Competition Committee by August 2026.

Following the reviews, the identified deficiencies were corrected, after which the Centre issued relevant conclusions for the materials brought into compliance.

The work is being carried out under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 702, “On measures to further improve activities in the field of outdoor advertising.”

The resolution assigns the Centre the task of giving advertising market participants advance warnings about possible violations and improving the effectiveness of preventive measures.

On a contractual basis, the Centre reviews ideas, themes and designs for advertising materials to assess their compliance with advertising legislation and issues relevant conclusions.

Of the total number of applications received, about 55 concerned advertising materials from commercial banks.

The review of bank advertising designs found that some materials did not disclose essential terms of contracts for financial services.

In particular, the materials lacked information on the terms for providing credit and deposit services, the full interest rate, amounts and other essential terms.

Under Article 43 of Uzbekistan’s Law “On Advertising,” advertisements for financial services must disclose the essential terms of contracts for their provision.

The Centre noted that incomplete disclosure of such information could give consumers an incorrect or incomplete understanding of the terms of financial services and mislead them when choosing a service.

Following the identified deficiencies, commercial banks were provided with explanations and recommendations on complying with advertising legislation.

The deficiencies in the advertising designs were subsequently corrected.

The Centre issued relevant conclusions confirming the materials’ compliance with the applicable advertising legislation.
