Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 6 November 2025, Tashkent hosted the first meeting of the Coordination Council on Strategic Planning and Development under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The session was held in a hybrid format, with regions of the country participating via videoconference.
The meeting brought together Council members, heads of ministries and agencies, local government officials, as well as representatives of analytical centers and research institutions.
Participants reviewed the implementation of the objectives outlined in the Presidential Decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated 30 October 2025, “On Measures to Implement the System of Strategic Planning and Development.” Council members presented updates on ongoing work under the Decree and measures aimed at ensuring the effective organization of the strategic planning system.
Special attention was given to the preparation of high-quality strategic planning documents. Discussions focused on the creation of a unified and comprehensive system, its scientific, methodological, and personnel support, as well as improvements in management within this area.
The Council outlined tasks to support the structural units of ministries and agencies responsible for strategic planning, as well as the information-analytical groups of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations, including the enhancement of staff qualifications.
The session concluded with the identification of concrete measures to effectively organize the strategic planning and development system in close cooperation with the responsible ministries, agencies, and regions across the country.
