Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Housing conditions are set to be improved for 156 families in need in Khorezm region under a memorandum signed by the National Social Protection Agency, InFinBank JSC and the Khorezm regional administration, the National Social Protection Agency said.

Under the agreement, the social circumstances of families included in a list submitted by the regional administration will be assessed, along with their actual housing needs.

Within its remit, the National Social Protection Agency will evaluate the social circumstances of the 156 families and determine their needs for improved housing conditions. Practical work to provide the families with housing is then planned.

The project considers decent and safe housing alongside material support, employment assistance, and social, educational and medical services.

A similar initiative was previously implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Under a trilateral memorandum, 101 young families received new housing.

The project will now continue in Khorezm region, where the housing conditions and housing needs of 156 families will be assessed.
