New Tashkent Fountain Sets Two Guinness World Records
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A musical fountain in New Tashkent has set two Guinness World Records, becoming the world’s tallest outdoor musical fountain and setting a record for the size of a projection on a circular water screen. The Directorate for the Construction of New Tashkent under Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers announced the achievements.
The fountain stands 232.69 metres high, surpassing the previous world record of 204.7 metres held by a fountain in China’s Jiangsu province.
The second record concerns a projection on a circular water screen covering 2,617.23 square metres. The previous record for a projection of this type was 2,400 square metres.
Official Guinness World Records judge Maggie Luo presented certificates confirming both achievements.
The project to build the fountain complex in New Tashkent was presented to the President of Uzbekistan in March 2026.
