Syrdarya Region Expands Investment Ties With China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan held discussions with Chinese companies to explore joint investment projects during the "Do Business in Syrdarya" international investment forum, according to the press service of the Syrdarya regional khokimiyat.
Regional Governor Erkinjon Turdimov met with representatives from Chinese enterprises including Xinjiang Hefu, Baolun, Xigua, and AI Car, as well as the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Communications Design and Research.
The delegations examined potential projects across several economic sectors, including the cultivation of dragon fruit and mangoes, fisheries development, construction materials manufacturing, and the launch of a modern online taxi service.
Special focus was placed on urban development initiatives, with discussions covering the conceptual design of a "New City" project along the banks of the Syrdarya River.
The participants also considered the establishment of an industrial park under the "Two Countries — Two Parks" initiative.
Following the meetings, all parties agreed to further refine the proposed project details and transition toward implementing the reached agreements.
