Tashkent Discusses Investment with Chinese Business Delegation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Officials from the Tashkent city administration met with a 30-member Chinese business delegation comprising representatives from the Cixi Women Entrepreneurs Association of Zhejiang Province and Ningbo Kadiya Electric Co., Ltd., according to the municipal administration.
The meeting was attended by the Tashkent khokim's advisor on cooperation with China, alongside representatives from the capital's Department of Investment, Industry, and Trade, and the Department of Tourism.
During the talks, officials presented Tashkent's investment and industrial potential, outlining business conditions, state support mechanisms, and incentives available in free and special economic zones. The sides discussed opportunities for launching new investment projects, expanding trade ties, and developing industrial cooperation between Chinese and Uzbek enterprises.
Discussions focused specifically on potential cooperation with Ningbo Kadiya Electric Co., Ltd. The sides evaluated the possibility of assembling and localizing the production of household and climate control appliances in Uzbekistan, as well as launching joint manufacturing projects and building supply chain ties with local businesses. Exchanges on smart home technology integration were also conducted.
Founded in 2001, Ningbo Kadiya Electric Co., Ltd. employs more than 1,000 staff members and specializes in producing household and climate appliances exported to over 20 countries.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly develop prospective investment projects, identify areas of mutual cooperation, and maintain ongoing operational dialogue.
