Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Law enforcement officers in Gulistan district of Syrdarya region stopped a Damas driver who was transporting 16 kindergarten children in violation of passenger transport rules. The regional Department of Internal Affairs press service reported this.
The department reminded that current traffic regulations prohibit carrying more passengers in a vehicle than specified in its technical passport.
An administrative report was drawn up against the driver under Article 128-8 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, concerning violations of rules for transporting people in a vehicle.
The driver was also given a preventive briefing and informed about the possible consequences of such violations.
