Smoke occurs in Tashkent subway

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An emergency situation occurred at Chilanzar line of Tashkent subway at 15:00 of 19 August 2014, Transport-Centre reported.

The train stopped between two stations – Pushkin and Great Silk Road – due to smoke.

The witnesses said that the driver decided to stop the train after he noticed smoke. The passengers were evacuated. The people had to go over rails to the exit.

Currently there is no information what caused the smoke. Nobody was injured in the result accident. Officials are not commenting the incident.
