Sergey Lavrov: Russia to double gas supplies to Uzbekistan thanks to new infrastructure projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that several new infrastructure projects will enable Russia to double its gas supplies to Uzbekistan. This was reported by TASS.

Lavrov emphasized that cooperation in the gas sector continues to grow, and the implemented infrastructure projects will ensure the doubling of gas supplies from Russia to Uzbekistan.

Earlier, Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister of Energy, Alibek Jamaov, noted that the volumes of Russian natural gas transit to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan continue to increase.

It is worth recalling that, since 7 October 2023, Uzbekistan has been importing gas from Russia through Kazakhstan.
