Tashkent Region Discusses Investment with Chinese Firms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chinese companies are considering opportunities to participate in investment and manufacturing projects in the Tashkent Region, according to UzDaily.uz. Matters regarding bilateral cooperation were discussed during a meeting between the Deputy Khokim of the Tashkent Region, Jakhongir Mamajonov, and representatives of Chinese business on 4 September 2026.
The event was attended by representatives from 15 Chinese companies and organizations. The delegation included executives of enterprises specializing in the production of heating and gas equipment, thermal technologies, industrial components, and electronic devices. Representatives of companies operating in gas sensor manufacturing, certification services, and international supply chains were also among the participants.
During the talks, the Chinese side was presented with information regarding the investment potential of the Tashkent Region. Particular attention was given to the region's manufacturing capabilities and the conditions established for foreign investors. The sides reviewed prospective areas for cooperation and the potential implementation of joint projects involving Chinese businesses.
One of the main areas of discussion focused on establishing modern manufacturing enterprises within the Tashkent Region. Participants discussed the possibility of organizing the localized production of heating systems and gas equipment. Additionally, the parties reviewed issues related to developing industrial cooperation and introducing advanced technologies.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to examine the presented investment proposals in detail and continue negotiations on prospective areas of cooperation. The parties also agreed to establish practical interaction to implement joint investment projects in the Tashkent Region.
