Haydarov Names Uzbekistan U23 Squad for Asian Games
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan U23 head coach Ravshan Haydarov has announced the squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) said.
Uzbekistan will play its first group-stage match on 15 September against one of its three group opponents — the Philippines, Kuwait or Vietnam.
The goalkeeping squad consists of Samandar Muratbaev of Nasaf, Maksim Murkaev of Pakhtakor and Umar Rustamov of Olympic Mobiuz.
The defenders are Giyesjon Rizakulov of Kyzylkum, Dilshod Murtazoev, Kuvonchbek Khushvaktov and Dierbek Abdunazarov of Nasaf, Dilshod Abdullaev of Pakhtakor, as well as Ruziboy Fayzullaev and Saidkhon Khamidov of Olympic Mobiuz.
The midfielders are Ravshan Khayrullaev of Bukhara, Mukhammadali Reymov of Lokomotiv, Saidumarkhon Saidnurullaev of Metallurg, Sardor Bakhromov of Nasaf, Ollobergan Karimov of Sogdiana, Azizbek Tulkunbekov of Bunyodkor, Oybek Urmonjonov of Dinamo, Asilbek Jumaev of Neftchi and Mukhammadali Urinboev, who plays for Belgian club Antwerp.
The attacking line includes Shodier Shodiboev and Nurlan Ibraimov of Lokomotiv, Firdavs Abdurahmonov of Dinamo and Amirbek Saidov of Sogdiana.
In the Asian Games group stage, Uzbekistan U23 will face the Philippines, Kuwait and Vietnam.
The team’s first match of the tournament is scheduled for 15 September.
