Senate approves resolution on amnesty

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved a resolution on amnesty in connection with the 19th anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan.

The resolution, which was submitted by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, was adopted at the seventh plenary session of Senate, which is taking place in Tashkent.

It is planned the release of women, those who were under 18 when committing a crime, as well as men at the age of over 60 and foreign citizens.
