Russian President congratulates Islam Karimov with Independence Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov with Independence Day, the press service of Kremlin said.

In his congratulation letter, the Russian leader underlined success of Uzbekistan in economic and social development, as well as active role of the country in international arena.

Russian President highly rated the Russian-Uzbek relations on strategic partnership and alliance, which are important factor for stability, security and well-being in Central Asia.

Vladmir Putin also expressed his assurance that joint efforts of Russia and Uzbekistan will be efficiently expand constructive bilateral cooperation in various areas, expand interaction in solving actual issues of regional and international issues in interest of friendly nations of two states.
