Russian President appoints new envoy to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 November 2009, President of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Medvedev appointed new ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan.

In line with the decree of the president, Vladimir Tyurdenev will assume the post of the Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan.

Vladimir Tyurdenev is career diplomat and for last several years serves as Ambassador of Russia to Brazil. Earlier, he worked as director of CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
