Prices for gas in Uzbekistan hikes by 8.9%

Prices for natural gas for population and enterprises will increase in Uzbekistan from 1 October 2016. The growth rate makes up 8.9%.
New tariff gas prices were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, according to Uztransgaz.
The company said that the population will pay 246.12 soums per 1 cubic meter of gas if they have gas meter. The current cost of 1 cubic meter of gas is 226 soums. The growth rate made up 8.9%.
At the same time, the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas, if there is no gas meter, will grow from 390.83 soums to 422.9 soums (+8.1%) for cooking and hot water, and from 181.25 soums to 197.37 soums for heating.
Uzbekistan increased prices for gas and electricity last time in April 2016.
