Uzbekistan and Kuwait Discuss New Investment Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait to Uzbekistan, Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrad, on 14 July 2026.
The two sides discussed the further development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of new joint projects.
During the talks, officials reviewed measures to increase bilateral trade, promote Uzbek products in the Kuwaiti market, organize business missions and exhibitions, and expand contacts between the business communities of both countries.
Promising areas of cooperation identified during the meeting include the banking and financial sector, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, industry, and the services sector. The participants paid special attention to cooperation with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development regarding the financing of infrastructure and logistics projects.
Additionally, the sides discussed preparations for an Uzbek-Kuwaiti business forum and the activation of the Intergovernmental Commission. The third meeting of the commission is scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan in autumn 2026.
