Prices for electricity to grow in Uzbekistan from 1 October

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Joint stock company Uzbekenergo announced that prices for electricity will grow from 1 October 2015.

According to Uzbekenergo, new prices for electricity were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekenergo said that the cost for 1 KWH electricity will grow from 155 soums to 167.4 soums. The growth rate makes up 8%.

The cost of for 1 KWH electricity at houses, equipped with electric ovens, will increase from 77.5 soums to 83.7 soums (+8%).

The tariffs are changed in connection with the growth of prices for fuel-energy resources, the Uzbekenergo said.

Last time, Uzbekistan increased prices for electricity on 15 May 2015.
