Flash Fire at Gas Filling Station Injures Three in Tashkent Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A flash fire occurred at an automobile gas filling station in Zangiata district of Tashkent Region on the evening of 16 July, leaving three people injured, according to the Emergency Situations Ministry of Uzbekistan.

Emergency services said they received a report of the incident at 10:46 p.m. The accident occurred at a gas filling station located along the M-39 highway.

According to preliminary information, the flash fire involved a propane storage tank and a specialised vehicle used to transport liquefied propane gas.

Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene immediately. The fire was brought under control before emergency services fully secured the site.

Preliminary reports indicate that three people sustained injuries. After receiving first aid at the scene, they were transported to a medical facility for further treatment.

The fire was completely extinguished at 12:04 a.m. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident and other circumstances surrounding the accident.
