President appoints new head of UzACI

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov appointed new head of director-general of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) on 24 February 2012.

The UzACI said that in line with the presidential resolution Khurshid Mirzakhidov has been appointed as director-general of the agency.

Prior to appointments, Khurshid Mirzakhidov worked as the first deputy director-general of the agency. He was appointed to the pot on 26 November 2010.

At this post, he replaced Hakim Muhitdinov, who headed the UzACI from October 2009.
