Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbekistan Temir Yollari company is increasing ticket tariffs from 20 October 2023. The company’s press service said in a statement.

In particular, from 20 October, the tariff part of the cost of a ticket for passenger trains on local routes will increase by 50%.

At the same time, the price of tickets for the Afrosiyob high-speed train will increase by 100%, the company said.

“During 2019-2022 and 9 months of 2023, wages throughout the republic were increased by 2.4 times, prices for electricity and fuel, logistics and transportation costs were significantly increased, as well as for updating the fleet of passenger cars, purchasing new electric trains, and maintaining railway stations In accordance with the requirements of the time, changes have been made to the cost of travel documents (tickets). In this regard, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC announces an increase from 20 October 2023 to the cost of the tariff part of tickets for passenger trains of local destinations by 50% and to the full cost of tickets for 100% of the Afrosiyob high-speed electric trains, the company said in a statement.
