Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — During a visit to the Republic of Korea, Alisher Temirov, director of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Products Safety Center, visited production facilities of pharmaceutical company Unimed in Osong and Asan, the Pharmaceutical Products Safety Center of Uzbekistan said.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation reviewed modern technologies used in pharmaceutical production in South Korea, product quality assurance and safety control systems, as well as approaches to integrating research and development activities with manufacturing processes.
At Unimed’s production facilities, participants were presented with the processes for producing biological products and medicines, technological lines and key stages of production. Particular attention was paid to practical quality control mechanisms, improving production efficiency and introducing modern technologies.
The sides also reviewed the company’s research and development activities. In particular, participants examined laboratory infrastructure, processes for developing new pharmaceutical products and improving existing medicines, as well as mechanisms for applying research findings in manufacturing.
The talks addressed prospects for further developing pharmaceutical cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
Priority areas included expanding the exchange of technologies and knowledge, improving specialist qualifications and implementing joint projects.
The sides paid particular attention to ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products.
