On 8 September 2016, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic Andrea Bertozzi.
Ambassador presented copy of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Italian diplomat conveyed sympathy and support words of the leadership of his country to the Government and the people of Uzbekistan in connection with the death of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, noting his important role in the development of relations between our countries.
During the conversation the sides exchanged views on perspective directions of further strengthening of the Uzbek-Italian cooperation, broadening its agenda.
