Pakhator defeats Metallurg

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Pakhtakor Tashkent drew level on points with Bunyodkor at the top of the Uzbekistan Oliy League with a 2-0 win over Metallurg Bekabad.

Aleksandr Geynrikh opened the scoring for the hosts 10 minutes before the break at Pakhtakor Stadium.

Odil Ahmedov then doubled their advantage from the spot just before the hour mark.

Pakhtakor now trail city rivals Bunyodkor on goal difference but have played a game more.
