OSCE media conference to discuss public-service broadcasting and digitalization in Central Asia

The future of public-service broadcasting and how the digital switchover can support media freedom and media pluralism will be the focus of the 10th OSCE Central Asia Media Conference, which starts tomorrow in Almaty.

The two-day event is organized by the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media in co-operation with the OSCE Centre in Astana and the OSCE Liaison Office in Almaty.

Media professionals and government officials dealing with media governance from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as international and regional experts, will discuss the latest media developments in their countries.
