Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Samarkand-based company Meros Pharm and the British educational organization Specialist Language Courses (SLC) have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing language and professional training for specialists in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors in Uzbekistan.

The document provides for the introduction of educational programs aligned with international standards, as well as the organization of professional development courses and specialized training sessions for medical workers. Particular attention will be given to improving English language skills among industry specialists.

As part of the signing of the agreement, a bilateral meeting was held with David Sheppard, Deputy Head of the Department of Health at the UK Department for Business and Trade. He highly praised the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan’s healthcare system and expressed the readiness of British companies, universities, and medical institutions to support them.

The parties noted that the agreement is aimed at strengthening practical cooperation between organizations in the two countries and developing collaboration in medical education and pharmaceuticals.

Specialist Language Courses (SLC) is a UK-based organization specializing in English language training in the medical field. Its programs are used in more than 75 countries and are designed for doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and educators in medical institutions.
