OIC delegation holds talks at Uzbekistan’s MFA

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A head of the observers’ mission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ali Abolhassani Shahrez visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 22 December 2014.

The OIC mission observed parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan on 21 December.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that during the meeting, the guests said that the mission visited over 100 polling stations and underlined good organization of the voting in places.

It was underlined that high level turnout of the voters shows support of population of political course to strengthen role of the parliament in public-political and social-economic spheres.

The sides discussed practical issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OIC.
