Number of internet users in Uzbekistan makes up 16.38 million

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 January 2020, the number of subscribers connected to the Internet in Uzbekistan made up 16.38 million, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, this number increased by 23.0% or 3.0 million. In particular, there are 15.75 million subscribers among the population, which is 22.3% or 2.86 million more than last year.

In comparison with other regions, the largest number of subscribers connected to the Internet was noted in the city of Tashkent – 3.55 million, and the smallest - in Syrdarya region – 441,400.
