New energy unit commissioned at Angren thermal power station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- New energy generating unit with heating extraction for burning of high-ash coal was commissioned at Angren thermal power station.

The cost of the project is US$226 million. The project was financed due to resources of Uzbekenergo and long-term soft loan of Chinese Eximbank.

The capacity of new unit is 150 megawatt. The project realization will help increase supply of electricity to consumers from 600 million KWH a year to 869.36 million KWH.

Chinese company Harbin Electric International Company Ltd participated in implementation of this project.
