Indonesian Delegation Assesses Fergana’s Export Potential
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation of inspectors from the Indonesian Quarantine Agency visited the Fergana Region to familiarize themselves with the local phytosanitary control system and the region's agricultural export potential.
During the visit, the Indonesian representatives toured the joint venture LLC "Uz-Segang" in Fergana. They were shown the sorting, packaging, storage, and preparation processes of sweet cherries destined for foreign markets.
The delegation then traveled to the Quva Agrostar enterprise located in the Kuva District. The guests were presented with the complete production cycle, which encompasses growing, processing, storing, and packaging fruit and vegetable products. Representatives from the company also briefed the delegation on their export capabilities.
Throughout the tour, both sides discussed prospects for deeper cooperation in food safety, as well as sanitary and phytosanitary controls.
Following the meetings, participants noted that the visit serves as another practical step toward expanding the export geography of the Fergana Region and establishing the necessary conditions for local agricultural products to enter the Indonesian market.
