Tashkent Gas Supply Suspended in Two Districts on 22 August
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Natural gas supplies will be temporarily suspended in the Sergeli and Almazar districts of Tashkent on 22 August 2026 due to repair work and the relocation of gas pipelines into safe zones, Hududgaz Poytaxt reported.
Gas service in both districts will be cut off from 10:00 to 17:00.
In the Sergeli district, the temporary restrictions will affect the Junariq neighborhood assembly. Along Junariq Street, 8 apartment buildings comprising 1,056 households and 2 wholesale consumers will be left without natural gas.
In the Almazar district, the suspension will impact the Yoshlik neighborhood assembly. Residents of Tansykbayev-1 (420 apartments) and Tansykbayev-2 (850 apartments) will experience a temporary outage. Additionally, gas supplies will be suspended for 15 wholesale consumers, including the Doka-Khleb bakery and the Turkiston restaurant.
The work is necessary to relocate a high-pressure gas pipeline running over the Junaryk canal, as well as an underground medium-pressure gas pipeline in the Tansykbayev-2 residential area.
Natural gas supplies will be restored once the repair and relocation work is completed.
