Namangan to Build Fish Farming Hub with South Korean Tech
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A modern fish farming hub is planned to be established in the Namangan region with the participation of the South Korean company U&K Global. The project envisages the implementation of modern technologies and the integration of feed production, fish rearing, and product processing into a single production cycle.
The prospects for implementing the project were discussed at a meeting with Lim Sang Hwa, President of U&K Global.
One of the key elements of the project will be Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology, which provides for the multiple reuse of water. The system allows for controlling water quality and maintaining stable conditions for fish rearing while ensuring a more rational use of water resources.
The project also provides for the automatic monitoring of water temperature, oxygen content, pH levels, and other indicators. This is expected to increase production efficiency.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to form a full value chain based on the principle of "feed production — fish rearing — processing."
The creation of the fish farming hub is expected to improve the efficiency of water resource management in the Namangan region and increase fish production volumes.
