Uzbekistan Has More Than 1.23 Million Small Businesses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan had 1,236,126 active small business entities as of 1 July 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Tashkent recorded the largest number of small business entities with 161,194. It was followed by Samarkand region with 118,652, Ferghana region with 115,860, Andijan region with 113,781 and Tashkent region with 104,694.

Kashkadarya region had 97,923 active small business entities, followed by Khorezm region with 95,990 and Namangan region with 82,779.

Bukhara region recorded 73,736 active small businesses, Surkhandarya region 73,642, the Republic of Karakalpakstan 61,229, Jizzakh region 55,111, Navoi region 42,536 and Syrdarya region 38,999.
