Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Authorities in Uzbekistan’s Namangan Region have proposed establishing a botanical garden featuring a collection of flowers and ornamental plants, as part of efforts to develop floriculture and expand cooperation with Turkish partners.

The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Namangan Region Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov and representatives of Turkish companies Brocenna and Göktan.

The delegation included Tanriverdi Belgin, director of both companies, and their founders, Eraslan Nejat and Bayındır Ismail Hakkı.

The talks focused on developing floriculture in the region, expanding cooperation with Turkish partners, exploring opportunities to supply new flower varieties and implementing joint projects.

During the meeting, Abdurazzakov proposed establishing the botanical garden within New Uzbekistan Park in the Davlatabad district of Namangan.

The Turkish representatives expressed interest in the initiative.

The proposed garden is expected to bring together a diverse range of flowers and ornamental plants, introduce international practices in plant cultivation and propagation, and provide an additional attraction for tourists visiting the region.

The participants also exchanged views on the next steps for strengthening cooperation and preparing prospective projects in the floriculture sector.
