Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chinese technology companies are exploring opportunities to expand into Uzbekistan, establish local offices and cooperate with IT Park Uzbekistan on digital technology projects.
Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan discussed prospects for entering the Uzbek market with a delegation from Qianfan Tuohai Consulting Services (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. on 14 October. Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies reported the meeting.
During the talks, the Chinese delegation presented its technological solutions and main areas of activity. The discussions focused on practical aspects of doing business in Uzbekistan, including company registration, finding office space and the support measures available to foreign companies through IT Park Uzbekistan.
Mingshang Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Jurui Cloud Control Technology Co., Ltd. expressed interest in establishing a local presence. Representatives of the two companies examined possible operating models in Uzbekistan and prospects for cooperation with IT Park Uzbekistan.
Jakhongir Kagirov, director of the export development department at IT Park Uzbekistan, briefed the delegation on the country's IT ecosystem and the conditions available to foreign technology investors. The participants also discussed opportunities to develop data centre infrastructure and implement digital technology projects.
The meeting also covered the Khan Tengri Innovation Hub initiative, which is being implemented with the participation of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The project aims to help technology companies from Central Asia enter markets in Chinese cities, including Shenzhen, establish direct business connections and find partners among Chinese technology companies.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue consultations on business registration, office space selection and the use of available support mechanisms for foreign companies.
The discussions covered both the practical arrangements for Chinese IT companies establishing a presence in Uzbekistan and potential cooperation in developing and implementing digital solutions.
