MTS-Uzbekistan subscribers’ base increases by 1.2% in February

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of MTS-Uzbekistan subscribers comprised 5.8 million at the end of February, Russia’s MobileTele Systems (MTS) said.

MTS-Uzbekistan attracted 70,000 new subscribers in February or the growth rate of subscribers’ base in February made up 1.2%. MTS-Uzbekistan had 5.73 million subscribers as of 31 January 2009.

The company’s subscribers’ base increased by 2.46 million new users or 73.7% compared to the end of February 2008.
