Moderate earthquake hits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake with epicenter in neighboring Kyrgyz Republic was registered in Tashkent city at 07:24 on Monday, 20 February 2012.

The earthquake magnitude in capital city of Uzbekistan was 2 points, Tashkent Seismic Station said.

The magnitude of earthquake at the epicenter, which is located 300 kilometers from Tashkent to the northern-eastern direction at Kyrgyzstan’s territory, was 4.9 points.
