Moderate earthquake hits Uzbekistan

A moderate earthquake was registered in Uzbekistan at 9:00 on Saturday, 14 June 2014, according to the seismic station “Tashkent”.
According to the seismic station, the epicenter of earthquake was located at 520 km to south-east from Tashkent at Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan. The earthquake magnitude was 5.4 at the epicenter.
The power of earthquake in Tashkent was 1.5-2 points, according to the station. The earthquake was felt in Jizzakh, Samarkand and other cities of Uzbekistan.
