Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin as part of the business programme of his visit to the Republic of Korea. The sides discussed the development of investment cooperation and the implementation of new joint projects, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
Mirziyoyev noted the long-standing and productive cooperation with Lotte Group, describing the company as one of the largest Korean investors in Uzbekistan. He specifically highlighted the successful operations of the Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex.
New areas of cooperation
The meeting addressed the implementation of development projects in Uzbekistan using advanced Korean technologies.
The sides also considered prospects for cooperation in copper foil production.
Tourism and hotel business
The President of Uzbekistan supported Lotte Group’s plans to manage tourism centres in the country and improve the quality of services in the hotel sector.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to establish a working group to monitor the implementation of bilateral projects.
