Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent Metro operated stably during the morning peak on 7 September, with 64 trainsets serving passengers across four lines and making 243,821 passenger trips between 07:00 and 10:00, the Tashkent City Department of Transport Management (CODD) said.

Public transport operations during this period were kept under constant monitoring due to the start of the new academic year at higher education institutions. The monitoring was carried out jointly with partner organizations.

Train intervals were shortened on the lines with the highest passenger traffic, the Chilanzar and Uzbekistan lines. According to CODD, the measures helped maintain stable metro operations during the morning peak.

The Situation Management Center monitored conditions at stations and on metro lines in real time. No disruptions or inconveniences in train services were recorded during the monitoring period. No passenger congestion was observed at stations.

In addition, no emergency situations related to passenger services occurred during the morning peak.

CODD said the operation of the metro and other forms of public transport remains under constant monitoring.

Particular attention is being paid to ensuring comfortable and safe conditions for passengers.
