Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 9,102,729 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in January–August 2026.
The figure increased by 1.6 million people, or 21.1%, compared with the same period last year, the National Statistics Committee said.
The largest number of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan, with 2,524,378 visitors. Kazakhstan ranked second, with 2,171,581 tourists arriving in Uzbekistan.
A total of 2,025,400 people visited Uzbekistan from Tajikistan during the eight-month period, while 867,757 tourists came from Russia and 329,620 from Afghanistan.
The top 10 also included China, with 318,465 tourists; Turkmenistan, with 224,766; Türkiye, with 130,155; India, with 39,538; and Germany, with 32,249.
Thus, neighboring Central Asian countries — Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan — accounted for the largest tourist flows to Uzbekistan in January–August.
