Alisher Samadov Appointed Head of Audit Chamber
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed Alisher Samadov chairman of the Audit Chamber, according to a presidential decree announced by presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov.
Following the appointment, Samadov was relieved of his position as head of the Department of Legal Expertise and Comprehensive Analysis of the Presidential Administration, which he had held since 14 July 2025.
Previously, Samadov served as deputy adviser to the president on legal expertise and comprehensive analysis.
At the same time, Timur Butunbaev was appointed deputy head of the Presidential Administration for water reforms and head of the Department of Legal Expertise.
Butunbaev was relieved of his previous position as deputy head of the Presidential Administration for reforming the water supply system.
The position of chairman of the Audit Chamber had remained vacant since January 2025. The chamber was previously headed by Adiz Boboev, who was appointed governor of Samarkand region.
In June last year, the Control Inspection of the Presidential Administration was abolished, with its powers transferred to the Audit Chamber.
