Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Car sales in Uzbekistan increased by 20.4%, with the Cobalt accounting for 32.3% of the market in August.
Segment dynamics
Sales continued to decline in the A- and B-class vehicle segments. Sales in the A segment fell by 69.5% compared with the same period last year, while sales of B-class sedans decreased by 15.3%.
Significant declines were also recorded in the E/F segments, down 61.3%; MPVs, down 29.6%; and LCVs, down 18.2%.
At the same time, positive dynamics were observed among premium SUV-E vehicles, with sales rising by 196.7%. Sales of mid-size SUV-D crossovers increased by 26.1%, C-class sedans by 25.3%, and SUV-C crossovers by 14.6%.
Car production grows
According to the National Statistics Committee, passenger car production in Uzbekistan increased by 9.4% in January–July 2026. During this period, 263,700 passenger cars were produced in the country, 22,600 more than a year earlier.
UzAuto Motors produced 185,817 vehicles, ADM Jizzakh produced 27,704 vehicles, and BYD produced 17,765 vehicles.
