Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region and the Seongnam Special Industrial Zone of the Republic of Korea have agreed to develop industrial cooperation, attract modern technologies and jointly implement investment projects. A corresponding memorandum was signed during a working visit to South Korea by a regional delegation led by Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov.
The document provides for expanding cooperation between the regions and establishing direct ties between entrepreneurs. In addition, businesses from Ferghana Region signed memoranda of cooperation with more than 10 companies operating in the Seongnam Special Industrial Zone.
As part of the visit, the regional delegation viewed an exhibition of products and innovative developments from companies in Seongnam.
South Korean companies presented solutions in cosmetics, medicine, automotive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, educational technologies and logistics.
The exhibition featured cosmetic products from Fireworks, medical devices from Daon Medical and AI OnTech, footwear from Comfy, as well as automotive cameras and technological solutions from BL Tech.
Romazing presented a language-learning platform using artificial intelligence technologies. Azetek showcased its logistics solutions.
The event also included direct B2B talks between entrepreneurs from Ferghana Region and representatives of South Korean companies. The sides discussed opportunities for production cooperation, the exchange of technologies and expertise, access to the markets of the two countries and the implementation of new investment projects.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached with a number of South Korean companies on implementing joint projects in Ferghana Region across various areas.
